What is hydro jetting?
Hydro jetting is a method of cleaning sewer and drain lines with a stream of high-pressure water. A hose with a specialized nozzle is fed into the pipe, and the water scours the full inside wall, removing grease, scale, sand, silt and tree roots instead of just opening a hole through the clog.

How hydro jetting works
The line is usually inspected with a video camera first, to find the blockage and confirm the pipe is in good enough condition to be jetted. The pressure and nozzle are then matched to the pipe’s size and material.
The hose is fed in through a cleanout. Jets on the nozzle push it forward while spraying the pipe wall, and the loosened material is flushed down the line. A second camera pass afterward shows whether the pipe is clear.

Water reaches the full circumference of the pipe wall, not just the center of the blockage.
Removes what causes repeat clogs
Grease, soap scum and scale left on the pipe wall catch new debris. Removing that coating keeps a line from clogging again soon after.
Cuts through roots
High-pressure water can cut and flush root masses that have grown into pipe joints.
No chemicals
The cleaning is done with water alone, so nothing corrosive goes into your pipes or the sewer system.
Residential and commercial lines
The same method clears household drains and heavily loaded lines like restaurant kitchen drains.

When it isn’t the right choice: a pipe that is collapsed, badly cracked or severely deteriorated can be damaged further by high pressure. That’s why the camera inspection comes first.
