We had a main sewer blockage at a property in Marina del Rey and contacted DX Plumbing after getting some very high quotes elsewhere. Abraham came out, assessed the problem, and was able to clear the line properly using hydrojetting. The entire hydrojetting service was only $400, which was very reasonable compared with other companies I spoke with. Abraham was professional, straightforward about the work, and most importantly, he solved the problem. I really appreciated the fair pricing and the fact that there was no attempt to turn the job into something more expensive than necessary. I originally had a large company that starts with "Roto" come and asses, they refused to give me pricing in advance and then wanted to to basic snaking through cleanout for $550 - I sent them home. We contacted DX Plumbing and Abraham came over within a few hours of our call. He inspected a leak associated with our 17-year old water heater. We discussed fixing the leak and the various options for replacing our old water heater since we knew it was well past its due date. Wow! We had Abraham out 6 months ago to do hydrojet on our main line and was thankful for his honesty and thorough explanation of our plumbing needs. Today he was out to repair the mainline which was damaged by tree roots. He arranged for the gas and electric company to come out prior to digging the 7 foot hole needed to repair the line. Abraham initially came out for a hydrojet and after clearing the main pipe, we saw a big crack in the clay pipe main line. After we found the crack, Abraham got a city permit and completed an entire main line pipe fix in a single day. About 7 feet of dirt removal (and refill), broken pipe removal, and new pipe install. Big job and Abraham had an entire team to get it done. City inspector approved the next day, the whole experience was professional and timely. One evening my old tank water heater broke so I got in touch with Abraham. He was able to order a new tankless system by next day, complete the full installation and haul off the old tank from my roof. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate him. I had all kinds of plumbing issues and all were tackled with a result that exceeded my expectations. Changing water purification filters (that were also leaking), removal of wash kits on toilets, replacement of a cracked toilet, replacement of broken drain spouts…he did all of it without issue. It’s so great when you find someone who knows what they’re doing and also has the state of the art equipment to do the work with. I had a stoppage from roots and grease and had another plumber snake it. It stayed clear for two weeks. The hydro jetting cleared away the roots and grease and the pipes were totally clear. My next-door neighbor recommended Abraham from DX Plumbing when I told him we were in need of a new plumber. My neighbor said he had found Abraham by doing an extensive Google search and reading lots of reviews. We have now used Abraham twice: once last month to replace our Insinkerator product, which had stopped working, and to replace the water filters in our sink and fridge. The second time was a week ago, after our 21-year-old hot water heater died by spraying water all over our sub-basement. Abraham returned my call on a Saturday afternoon and came by my house on a Sunday to assess the situation. He had a new water heater installed on Monday afternoon. While he waited for the delivery, he uninstalled the old one and moved it outside. With this help, we only had to go a little more than 48 hours with just cold sink water and flushing toilets. After that, our new hot water heater was installed and we were able to shower again and have hot water in all showers and sinks. I was very grateful for his attentiveness and expediency both times we worked with him. After I left him a voicemail when the water heater first began leaking, and didn't immediately hear back, I called plumbers recommended by other friends. No one was available on a weekend, except for one guy, who was going to charge me $320/hour. I contacted DX Plumbing for help clearing tree roots from my sewer line. I knew that I had to have major work done on the sewer line but I wasn’t sure who to trust with the job…so I put it on hold for three years. Once I met Abraham, I was 100% sure he was the person to help me. He was upfront, professional, thorough, and on time. He completed the major work for me and I could not be more impressed with his work. Abraham completed all of the work, was on time, and left the space in better shape than he found it. Abraham is fantastic at his job! We had a bit of an emergency (a leaking pipe) and he was able to come the next day and fix as much as he could. He didn’t have a piece he needed, so made a plan to come back a few days later - he even checked in to see how the leak was during the time between appointments. Abraham was able to fit us in quickly and his work is outstanding! Finally, we have hot water at our kitchen sink without having to wait 10 min for it to travel from the water heater in the garage! Absolutely a winner! I had two previous rooter guys work on my main sewer line stoppage, unsuccessfully. Both companies said I have to open up my backyard and re-pipe or repair at 9 feet down. I doubted their word and called a friend for a third opinion: Abraham at DX plumbing.  He did a HydroJet with super clean equipment and cleared my sewer line in 35 minutes. He just knows what to do. A one of a kind professional! He used a camera along with the HydroJet to make sure everything was clear along the entire pipe. Also, he said there were no breaks in my pipe, this is entirely different from what the other guys said. Abraham pricing is very fair and doing business with him is an absolute pleasure!

Abraham was just at our house to clear a clogged kitchen drainpipe in my kitchen. He worked efficiently both inside and outside of the house to resolve the fix. This is our second time at using Abraham. He was extremely knowledgeable, skillful and respectful with our property - the combination of these qualities are difficult to find nowadays in such a competitive industry. TL;DR: "Honest Abe" - Truly fitting title for Abraham and his workmanship. Highly, highly recommend Abraham for all your plumbing needs. He is the most knowledgeable, communicative, clear, punctual, fair, accommodating, efficient, and responsible plumber we've encountered so far in West LA. Details of our experience below. We had Abraham come out twice between late May and early June of 2023: first visit, he identified all the plumbing problems, scaled the drainage in our building and strategized for the best, fastest possible solutions; second visit, he was able to repair both the sink faucet/valve leak and installed our new toilet to perfection. In between those visits, Abraham was COMMUNICATIVE and CLEAR about the preparations I needed to make in order to best support him to do his job. The quotes he gave us were completely fair and understandable considering the market rate in LA. Nonetheless, Abraham is the most capable, knowledgeable, straightforward, and easy-to-work plumber I've encountered that I would only work with him as long as he's within our area. He was also the only plumber in the last 7 plumbers in the 4 years we've brought out to our building with a maze of drainage system that ACTUALLY understood and map out our building of 24 units. He demonstrated this by examining the building pipes in the garage and quickly (and confidently) confirmed that he could control water supply locally without needing to shut off the whole building, which is hugely important to old buildings like ours. Our board president was very impressed as well. Plus, he makes sure the working area is clean afterwards, finishes all touches neatly, and gave us clear instruction in post-care for the next 24 hours. We really appreciated him from beginning to the very end. Abraham, we thank you. Everything in the kitchen sink and the bathroom are still working perfectly (as they should), so we can sleep soundly without worrying about them anymore!

I highly recommend DX Plumbing. My dad has worked with Abraham in the past so he scheduled a toilet swap for my home with this same company. Abraham came out to my home today to swap out my old toilet. He did such a great job. He was extremely detailed and swapped the toiled in a very neat, clean, and precise fashion. It’s a pleasure to work with Abraham & DX Plumbing. He’s professional, very responsive and reasonable. He helped me in a pinch with a problem at an income property that could not wait and saved the day for my tenants. Our 8 unit building uses DX Plumbing for our plumbing needs. We have done 4 jobs so far with Abraham and our experience with him has been outstanding.  The jobs included a sump pump install, drain cleaning, hydrojet of the sewer lines and the installation of a clean out in our sewer pipes. Abraham is extremely knowledgeable,  takes the time to answer any questions that arise and is very pragmatic. In one case he advised us not to do a job as he thought it was a waste of our money, demonstrating his integrity and honesty. It is rare to find a plumber who talks you out of spending money on them. He is extremely responsive and has excellent communication skills and constantly provides updates on scheduling and is punctual when he provides a start time. I would highly recommend DX Plumbing, with zero reservations, to anyone looking for a plumber who does excellent quality work at a fair price and is completely honest.
